To inculcate habit of reading among students, Library committee initiated monthly book review series “Abhigya”. As a part of this series, tenth session was organized on July 31th, 2020. Due to COVID-19 pandemic situation this session of “Abhigya” was conducted through digital mode and to reach out to wider audience it was kept open for all. Around 278 participants from 17 different states of India registered for the session.
To serve the purpose of encourage students to excel in different sphere of life, in this session two students of college presented their book review. Book review presented by T.Y.B.Com students Ms. Rupal Bhanushali and Ms. Vidhi Asmani inspired other students to read books and participate in such events.
Ms. Rupal Bhanushali, reviewed a book “The Day I Stopped Drinking Milk” by Sudha Murthy. She narrated different incidences from the life of Sudha Murthy to inspire young minds. How we can integrate our cultural values with advancement of the life was explained nicely by Ms. Rupal. Second speaker of the day was Ms. Vidhi Asmani, she reviewed a book “સારમાં વિસ્તાર” in which she contributed as author. Ms. Vidhi described enchanting stories included in the book. Hearing from the author herself was indeed matter of elevation for the participants.
It was indeed and enlightening and informative session.
